What goes up must come down. For a moment I was a bird. No gravity or weight holding me down. But only for a second as I made my landing on mother earth once again!!!...I may be heavy in weight, but light of heart. That counts for something!

Having fun playing catch with myself. This is part of a long term series that I am creating. I will share some of the finished works with you. I have been posting hands, hands and more hands on this blog. And there will be more hands as the series progresses, however, I am creating a new series which I will present in the near future. I will present some random art as an interim in the coming blog's.....Today's hands are expressive and honest. The background color is a favorite of the model and a color which pleases me also. I guess I would like to ask the viewer to reflect on their favorite color and express it in their daily lives today and every day possible. If it brings happiness to your day then bring it on...may we all spin on our happy axis...

Hands of time. Our hands reveal our age and experience in life and cannot be hidden. This happens to each and every one of us. A Piano teacher, beautician, writer, artist, data entry, builder, chemist, waitress, cook, taxi driver, pilot, and on and on and on. We all tell a story with our hands. We all show the world a little bit of who we are. And do you know what....It is all good, good and good. Enjoy being on the blue planet as we float through the universe together......

There is nothing like a good old fashioned handshake. I do not know how universal this type of greeting is, but it generally is a positive sign between people. I thrive on positive signs between individuals. Greeting and recognizing one another is both a primal reaction and a modern day politeness. The ends of both spectrums.....let's try and see the width and the breadth of life this day!!

Patient hands, thinking hands, hands that might be saying I am relaxed and hopeful. Waiting in contemplation?...The next time your hands are in this position take a moment to realize the moment....If the wind is at your back let it carry you forward. Have a sweet day!

Hands of lovers embrace in a secret handshake. The intimate expression of connection shared. The helping hands of love can lift people beyond imagined places. It is a gift, a power instilled in all of us. I hope we all can find our own secret garden of love fulfilled.....Breath deep and see beyond oneself!

A young mother and child. The cycle continues. Love and dependence are two very powerful ingredients in lives circle. The love of the parent(s) for their child and the the complete trust the child gives as a gift of their new life. Very powerful and heart melting combination. Those connections live on as we grow older. We nurture life.....

The hands of a 95 year old embracing a sculpture she created 70 plus years earlier. I enjoy this time capsule. I enjoy feeling the past and the present unite. What a wondrous picture of a life well spent...Enjoy, enjoy and enjoy...

Purely having fun turning this design into  a stained glass. What fun to imagine this could happen every time we fiddle with our fingers. I find that creating shapes and structures with my hands is terrific fun. It's like having a game toy on your person at all times. Give it a try!!! Sometimes looking at the world through rose tinted glasses is a good thing. For sure!!!

The fist bump with an added thumb to thumb encounter. I can feel the gentle pressure of fists, the hesitation in space while greetings and a bit of laughter are exchanged between friends. No worries today, just the pleasure of the others company and sharing of good news. This hand photo is of me and my old high school friend... We all need this in our lives, i.e. soft fists greeting not hard fists hitting.....Life lessons!!!

Electromagnetic display, energy transference, the source, feeling the light, creating the light, sharing the light? Two index fingers in close proximity tells a story. I wanted to poetically create a narrative displaying the potential exchange of two people delving into a source of energy. What is the source? This is the mystery that occurs every moment of our daily lives. It is an individual experience hopefully shared with kindness and intention. Enjoy the air today. Breathe deeply....

Body language can be up to 90 percent of communication. A singular representation of a pair of hands can be 100 percent. So one has to ask what is this picture telling us.....Contemplation, thinking, relaxing, praying, pointing, reflecting, or a dozen other projections of a state of mind. In my new series I will be presenting hands. Hands are the building blocks of humanity, of friendship and unfortunately war. I see hands as a connection to better human activities. Each day I will add a new image. This particular image is self speaking. Greetings and peace!!!!

Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes we find ourselves in this day and age hoping upon hope that we can find the middle ground that helps to bind us all together in peace and love. This might sound campy to many people but the balance has to be re-established. It might smack of the sixties and free love and all that jazz, but the truth is we just simply need to find the goodness in each other. Lets try and do something extraordinary and find that small or large piece of humanity that resides in all of us and say "Yes, I understand".....

"All Deserve Love" as some unknown, but wise street poet says. Don't we all deserve love......The little sudo "Puppy Face" was created totally by accident. I came upon it as I was out for a walk. There it was looking up at me from the sidewalk as I was looking down. I thought it look so cute. It  brought out emotions  in me, that little mistake on the sidewalk, (we truly are such sensitive people if we only let ourselves reach inward just a bit). If it had been a real soft and furry animal I would have given it 1,000 hugs and 1,001 kisses. In my heart and mind I did............Plus me hanging out in my backyard looking outward and you looking inward.....Peace out.....

Peace and Love to all......

Just a snippet of our amazing hands. The shapes they can create. The tools they can wield. The beauty they can touch. The helping hand of a neighbor, friend or stranger. The hands that feed us and the hands we have bitten. The clapping hands at a concert or play. The expression of joy. A noise maker. A hair comber. A button helper. And on and on, but most important hands that can pull life towards us or push it away. Each of us, with our hearts and minds living, breathing in the present, can work toward a connection to our individual path in life. Or at least help us understand our choices better!!

A singular image today symbolizing calm, hope, opportunity and sharing. This is how I feel today. 

Think PEACE! Say it, read it, share it, then maybe we can become one planet more united with the commonality between us all...Simple things like breathing air, eating food, caring for family and friends. Then friends of friends and so on. We have to try.

'A rose is a rose is a rose", as stated by Gertrude Stein in a 1913 poem. Existentially speaking, we  all describe the world around us using our own words. Seeing the world, breathing the world, hearing the world and touching the world is a personal reality for each of us. We should (when possible) try and listen to each others views, have a conversation and share those experiences for the betterment of all......

Every door can lead to a beautiful destination!!

The process of sharing is motivating. It makes the mind flow, the heart beat. The world seems brighter and the air fresher. Bringing a creation into the physical world so others can see your mind and heart is cathartic. There are so many ways to reach out, to express oneself, to be a part of the human party. Let us all become ourselves and be ourselves for as long as possible. Be solid and flexible. Be happy!!!

I thought it would be fun to share a "craft" project that I did years ago..... Touching upon topics that interest me enough to share with the viewer is very exciting.......I am enjoying this series very much and I hope I can put a smile in to your day....We are all here!!!!

THE BRAIN!!!!.....What a machine. We all have one so let's use it for the betterment of ours and others lives....The planet included!!

Knowledge is fun and there are a lot of measured facts that better help us to discover where we are in space. Many people stare at the ground more than they look to the sky and beyond. I enjoy doing both. When I look to the evening sky the moon puts a smile on my face.....The moon has been a constant for humane kind. It is a time machine of sorts. Think of the billions and billions of people who have utilized the moon for all reasons, I.E. Poetry, love, direction, religion, encouragement, solace, peace and yes, war.  Enjoy the heavens.....It is your turn to find the wonderment....

Everyone knows we need a little more love in this world. If we can reach out to each other just a little. If we can move a small  distance away from our egos and make someone laugh, feel wanted, be included!! If we become good listeners to others we can all become more whole and colorful. If we are respectful of others and their personal space then the seed of reciprocation has a chance to grow. When appropriate a hug always helps and kind words always helps too.....Have a sweet day.

These types of signs were popular back, back, way back in the day when they were called sandwich boards and the person wore the advertisement hanging off of their shoulders. It was a job for many people!!!

The world is a beautiful place, but one cannot see it exclusively through rose tinted glasses. Bad things happen all the time, but good things happen all the time too. If we can choose, if we are allowed to find happiness and safety then we can begin to find the peace within ourselves and consequently within the world and amongst others.

Let's have fun with some basic science, after all, we are all part of the cosmic game......sleep well and speak softly.....

I believe I am getting in a groove.... Life can be obscurely humorous and that is the theme of this strip. I'm having fun and I hope all of you are too...

We all know about work. Work has a sliding scale in life. We know we have to do it, but sometimes we like to think otherwise.......Be at peace...

I'm going to create these little snippets as I find them wonderfully amusing. All topics will be addressed.....

A new direction for me. This type of cartooning has been on my mind for a long time and I am finally giving it a go. There will be transformations and shifts as I attempt to find the balance I'm looking for, however, I thought it would be interesting to share this artistic process with the viewers. I would appreciate any advise or opinions as I shift from left to right as I create my voice!!!!.....

Here is a more familiar view of San Francisco. It is a wonderful city to walk around in. I like imagining running around the city streets, but one has to be careful of the hills. They are famously steep, but have fantastic views from the tops.....Enjoy your day and feel the life around you!

I am a runner. More of a jogger now that I am older and my competing days are complete, but I love the sport. I've created  a series of myself running in different locations I have visited.  In this montage I used a photo of myself running in Eugene and  inserted myself into a photo I took when I visited San Francisco.  I wanted to meld these two locations together. As in science theory I wanted to alter the time/space continuum that lives in my mind and share it with the viewer.....Remember that wherever you go, you are there!!!!

It is spring time and all of nature is reaching out to touch our hearts and minds. I have created this bright and vibrant painting to celebrate the wonders that come with the cycle of the planet and life in general. We should all go into nature when ever we can and become a part of it. Just being a human among the trees and sunlight brings a level of peace to our bodies. Enjoy being alive!!!!
